No joking matter: EasyJet suspends pilot on mental health concern

EasyJet has suspended a pilot from duty after his messages, shared with friends on social media, raised questions about the person’s mental well-being. The EasyJet pilot situation and the airline’s reaction taps into a highly sensitive discussion on mental health and its issues experienced by pilots. 
The British Royal Air Force “Red Arrows” Aerobatic Team, led by the United States Air Force “Thunderbirds” Air Demonstration Squadron, performed a stunning display over the Big Apple on August 22, 2019, painting the New York’s skyline in red, white and blue smoke trails. Hundreds of thousands of onlookers watched as the formation of 19 aircraft flew down the Hudson River and around the Statue of Liberty in what has been called a “historic” flight.
The ARJ21, a regional jet made by China Commercial Aircraft Corporation (COMAC), embarked on a three day-long demonstration tour in Southwest China earlier in the week to demonstrate high-altitude and cross-wind capabilities.
Just recently, the United States Air Force chose between two viable contestants to replace the VC-25A – surprisingly, the Airbus A380 and the home favorite, Boeing 747-8. Ultimately, and probably to nobody’s huge surprise, the Air Force chose the 747 – on January 28, 2015, the service branch officially announcedtheir decision, designated the program as the VC-25B and set the deadline for Boeing to deliver the new Air Force One aircraft in 2024. The final price of the two new 747s is set to be at $3.9 billion

However, having a maintenance station in general is quite a luxury, especially to those that have only one or two helicopters operating in their fleet.
