From Boeing’s tainted 2019 debuts to Russian and Chinese market newcomers, here are some brand new passenger aircraft to take shape and the spotlight in 2020.
The aircraft designer for the Tupolev Design Bureau Valentin Bliznyuk, who led the work on the creation of the supersonic strategic bomber Tu-160, passed away at 92 years old “after a serious and prolonged illness” on December 30, 2019.
The Chinese fund Casil Europe has sold its 49.99% stake in Toulouse-Blagnac Airport (ATB), the fifth busiest airport in France, to the French civil engineering group Eiffage. The former had announced its intention to divest after the French state chose to keep a minority share of 10% in the airport.
