Airbus goes the distance, prepares to unveil A350-1000ULR

Airbus A350XWB family of jetliners have become the aircraft-of-choice for many airlines competing in the ultra-long-haul market. But as the market grows, so does the appetite for an aircraft capable of flying ever longer distances. Airbus is reportedly preparing to launch the A350-1000ULR, an ultra-long-range variant of the largest member of the A350 XWB family of jetliners.
As protests in Hong Kong continue, China appears to be further clamping down on Cathay Pacific. After the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) ordered the airline to submit information on the flight crews that will operate within China’s airspace due to “safety concerns”, now Cathay Pacific was allegedly forced to make changes in the Board of Directors.
Embraer has reinstated that its newest commercial jet, the E195-E2, is to enter service in the second half of 2019. Besides the launch customer Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras, Spanish airline Binter Canarias is also to receive the first E195-E2 this year, the manufacturer states.
