XL Airways suspends flights; France points finger at Norwegian

XL Airways have announced that the airline so far has been unable to grab the attention of an investor. As a result, XL will temporarily suspend its operations for the time being, as it tries to sort out the situation. Meanwhile, the French Minister of Economy and Finance, Bruno Le Maire, has found the reason why XL Airways failed, pointing to Norwegian Air Shuttle and the government of Norway for providing illegal state aid.
Adria Airways is on the lookout for potential investors as it “remains dedicated in reaching positive solution for all”. But the situation is looking quite grim: massive debts, local government’s unwillingness to cooperate with the current owners and a looming deadline regarding the continuation of its air operator’s certificate (AOC) have resulted in a difficult situation for Adria to navigate out of.
The financial company Flash Light Capital filed a lawsuit for the bankruptcy of Utair, one of the largest Russian carriers. More creditors could follow.
BOC Aviation has delivered three new Airbus A350-900 aircraft to Qatar Airways – the launch customer of the model, currently operating a fleet of 38 -900s.
