Boeing in conflict with FAA over 727 safety

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) of the United States has detected a potentially unsafe condition on the Boeing 727 airplane fuel system, which could result in an explosion. The agency has issued an airworthiness directive, despite the manufacturer’s protests.

Hong Kong Airlines employees face job cuts as lawsuits amass

Sudan military plane crash kills 18 people

Five minutes after takeoff, an Antonov An-12A of the Sudanese Air Force crashed in Darfur, western Sudan. Eighteen occupants including four children were killed. The plane had just delivered humanitarian aid to residents of El Geneina, a city affected by ethnic violence.
