Turkish Airlines to buy 60 Airbus 350-900, Boeing 787-9 jets

Turkish Airlines confirmed it will buy 50 firm and 10 optional widebody aircraft from Airbus and Boeing. The Airbus jets will be powered by Rolls-Royce engines. The deals with Airbus and Boeing come as Turkish Airlines plans to move from its main hub – the Istanbul Atatürk Airport (IST) – to a new airport by Istanbul‘s Black Sea coast currently under construction.

Hainan Airlines to take over stakes from its parent HNA

Hainan Airlines announced that it will take over some of the stakes owned by its parent conglomerate HNA Group amid financial troubles. Hainan will acquire controlling stakes in West Air, Guilin Airlines and several other companies.
