Airbus celebrated the delivery of its 12,000th aircraft ever in its 50-year history. The aircraft was an A220-100, assembled in Mirabel, Canada and handed over to U.S.-based Delta Air Lines.
An Aeroflot Sukhoi Superjet 100-95 was accelerating for take-off from Ulyanovsk’s runway 02 when the crew rejected take-off at low speed (about 40 knots) due to the failure of the #1 hydraulic system.
