It was an exciting week in aviation. Paris Air Show kicked off,  breaking the news of some new airplane models that will soon conquer the skies, as well as finally setting in motion the stagnant order books of Airbus and Boeing. While all eyes (and hearts) of aviators were at Le Bourget, some developments happening elsewhere might have skipped your radar. So here are the top non-Paris aviation news this week.
Speaking at a U.S. Congressional hearing on June 19, 2019, Captain Chesley ‘Sully’ Sullenberger, deemed as a hero pilot for safely landing a US Airways passenger plane on the Hudson River in New York, in 2009, had harsh criticism for Boeing and the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regarding the two recent 737 MAX crashes.
